The Arapahoe Public Mirror was established in June 1882 following the publication of the Arapahoe Pioneer and has been the leading community newspaper for Arapahoe, Holbrook, Edison and Furnas County.
The Arapahoe Pioneer was established by Fred Boehner in July 1879. On June 1, 1882 Charles Reed founded the Arapahoe Public Mirror selling the newspaper to Charles Blauvelt in 1908. In 1915, Walter H. Cox purchased the Arapahoe Public Mirror and the newspaper was a family business for 54 years, they purchased the Holbrook Observer in 1920.

In 1969, the publication was sold to Allan Gaskill then to Norman Tayler then to Luis Uzueta. On June 1, 1974, T.M. Gill and Cherridah Gill purchased the Arapahoe Public Mirror and the Holbrook Observer.

In the beginning, the newspaper was published by hand type, then moved to linotype, offset printing, Compugraphic equipment and today produce their publication with the aid of computers and digital imaging.

The Arapahoe Public Mirror is your hometown, community, weekly newspaper that is published on Wednesday morning by publishers T.M. Gill and Gayle Schutz and associate publisher Cherridah Gill.

The Arapahoe Public Mirror has a dedicated staff that includes Layout Manager Jill Snyder; Advertising Layout/Bobbi Moore; and Advertising/Reporter, Tammie Middagh.

The newspaper is owned by T.M. and Cheri Gill along with Brad and Gayle Schutz.
